Well the following week is an ‘legal’ off for me..Its the Vice-Chancellors (VC) week!! But for some students they still have to bear assignments as always..Unfortunately I’m one of them! I have another submission, but i somhow got the lecturer to take it in next week..hehe.. But i’m trying to finish it by this week in a relaxed fashion.

Let me talk about one of my assignments. Its a business plan on a geothermal energy plant. Its kinda interesting really. I never knew it existed. But its fun to read, research and know where the world has advanced today.

Geothermal Energy means energy derived from the heat of earths crust. Did u know electricity can be generated from that heat? I dint. But now we all know.Its a simple sort of a concept yet, a little complex and highly capital intensive. While doing my research I wrote to the director of the largest company in Australia for such projects for data. He replied and helped me too! But overall a real new thing to me.

Its like this. You drill deep down the earths crust. You send in water (high pressure). The water meets the heat and you know what happens next.. kiddin.. It creates a heat reservoir underground. Then this heat is bought up again to turbines and used to generate electricity. And its environmental friendly and sustainable becasue has no carbon pollutants.

The weather is getting hot here. Terrible heat outside, cant walk on streets, it burns the skin literally. And the ‘goras’ love this. They take this as an opprtunity to wear least clothes coz they love tan (but scientifically also they need it).
