DON!

Here it is! I was searching for this video of the remake of the old Indian Megahit DON! Though none can match that, even Javed Akhtar, who wrote the original script for Don agrees with that. Farhan Akhtar is remaking this Don with King Khan (SRK)! The trailor is a so called ‘theatrical trailor’, yet its not so impressive to me. The movie is certainly loose on budget, looking at the starcast, and the locations they’ve used to shoot it at.It seems India is gettin short of locations, more and more directors choosing international locations. The movie as devesh commented, is shot more than 70% in Malaysia.

I wonder wil SRK be the same monotonous type negativ character like in ‘Anjaam’, just in new boots. Coz everytime i see him, hes the same. My friend has nicknamed him very rightly. He calls him “Bhagwaan Khan“ (GOD Khan)! :D Every movie he acts in he has to be the wonder bug. But its not his fault though. He is a world class acclaimed actor.

Hope he does wonders in Don too!!

Amitabh (Jai) as Gabbar!

Well one latest (hopefully) news in bollywood,i know of is that Big B,  is palying Gabbar Singh in the remake of Sholay (A megahit bollywood movie), being directed by Ram Gopal Verma. For thos who dont know, he played the role of the ‘hero’ in the original as ‘Jai’ and Amjad Khan was the villain. Alas, Khan passed away at young age. But Big B says he really wanted to do the role of ‘Gabbar Singh’, the notorious dacoit and the ‘villain’. Finally he got the role! :) I dont really beleive that a remakes are a hit in the public, but they do recover costs for the producers and distributors, because the public awaits the remake blissfully. Specially after knowing that the same actor is again acting in the feature film.

For example DON (another megahit by Big B), is also being made. The star in action here is SRK. But personally I again doubt its gonna be a hit, because you cant compare anything to the original. And the unique Big B style. Big B was charismatic in his time and still carries the same aura with him today. He might have seen ups and downs, but luck still seems to love this gentleman.

I was watching his Sharaabi movie today. Theres no match, simply. I have not seen any other natural actor as him. In fact I think that the actors today are no where in front of the old ones! Yet with time, people’s expectations change and they need for spice. No wonder Bollywood is one of India’s largest growing industries, be it financially or in underworld links! :)

Color-time! Lets paint..

Well I know I’m bloggin too much today but cant help got a few good ones so i thought you guys should see it.

I always wanted to see an airplane being built. I mean isn’t it wonderful to see that huge bird being assembled. I just love it, but since i’m not an aeronautical engineer i wouldn’t have access to those. But i found a video of Virgin America plane being painted. Dono how many of you would be interested in it, but I’m posting the video (Source: none other than YouTube!). Enjoy!

P.S. Ok try and count, they give it 5 coats of white and imagine how much time they spend just for the logo and color! Interesting! I wonder how many days the cam stood idle there! ;)

IIT is ranked third amongst its peers, the 1st,2nd & 3rd being obvious positions to MIT, California Univ and Berkeley.. And then follows IITs. IIMs were 68..Check this article at ET to read the whole thing.. :)

There might be many more official rankings you might have come across. If you have please leave links on the comments page. It might help someone someway! And its interesting to see Indian Universitites reaching those heights too!

Late Windows (RIP), Make way for GOOGLE!

I just came across this article on moneycontrol. Its a nice intersting one i thought to put of on the blog.

Windows Vista will be the last Microsoft desktop operating system we will install on our PCs”

George F Colony predicts that google is going to take it from here. I think so too. Google is already rocking and i presume they are not sitting idle now. Evry day they are coming with something more innovatice. I just discovered that they have also put of spreadsheets and docs online where we can upload our files, and do online editing. Who had thought 5-7 years back that we would be able to do that.

Google it guys! :)

P.S Interstingly i also liked this guy Colony. The article says he predicted the dotcom boom, and rise of steve jobs. though I dont beleive in horoscopes and predicting, yet incidentally his predictions did work! SO give it a read..
